Sandy Hook Fire Company Officers

The new officer’s of the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company for the coming year took office July 1.

The administrative branch is as follows: President Ken Carlson, Vice President George Lockwood, Sr, Secretary Karin Halstead, Treasurer Brad Richardson, Assistant Treasurer Kevin Stoyak, Commissioner BJ Halstead.

The firefighting branch is led into action by Chief Bill Halstead. Assistant chief is Kent Bonsignore. Henry Velthuizen is 1st assistant chief and Jeff Steinebrey is 2nd assistant chief. Mike Burton is captain and Don Roos lieutenant. EMS captain is BJ Halstead. The men that oversee the maintenance of the trucks are Anthony Capozziello, 1st engineer, and Chuck Kilson, 2nd engineer. Matt Dobson, John Jeltema, George Lockwood, Jr, Danielle Mikula, Steve Stohl, Kevin Stoyak, and Paul Pavelo are engineers.

Those interested in joining the company may stop by the firehouse for an application. Meetings are the first and third Mondays of the month.
