Master Plan Vote Premature
Master Plan Vote Premature
To the Editor:
In response to the referendum on the FFH master plan, go to www.newtownct.org and see the various plans for something Newtown hasnât yet taken possession of.
While the resolution passed to purchase Fairfield Hills, I donât think the cost of asbestos abatement has been taken into consideration. The cost of removing asbestos from the buildings to be demolished will cost the town some big bucks. I like the bit where the legal beagles gave a verbal opinion that a new town hall was covered by the vote â please refresh me where it was stated that a new town hall was going to be built.
While Iâm an independent, I think the Republican candidate made the most sense by saying to vote No on something the town hasnât yet taken deed to.
Sincerely,
Arthur W. Hechler
