Kathleen A. OâConnor
Kathleen A. OâConnor, age 88, of Newtown, formerly of Astoria, Queens, N.Y., died July 28 at Ashlar of Newtown. She was the wife of the late Michael OâConnor.
Mrs OâConnor was born October 9, 1914, in New York City, a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Gunn) Lynch.
Raised and educated in New York, she was a longtime resident of the Astoria section of Queens for many years, until moving to Newtown one year ago. She was employed as a secretary in both the insurance and banking industries. While residing in Astoria, she was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.
Mrs OâConnor is survived by two daughters, Kathleen A. Aiello and her husband, George, of Bethel and Michelle Warren and her husband, Robert, of Sun City, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Michelle K. Rusie and her husband, Richard, of Brownsburg, Ind., George D. Aiello, Jr, and his wife, Wendi, of Bluefield, W.Va., and Michael M. Aiello of Bethel; four great-grandchildren, Claire and Alan Rusie and Alex and Grace Aiello; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs OâConnor was predeceased by her brothers, William and Thomas Lynch; and a sister Anna Rita Alter.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated August 5, at the Church of St Mary, Bethel. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, N.Y.
