Dr Wachs Joins Dental Associates

Dr Kenneth Wachs has joined the staff of Dental Associates and will see patients at the offices in Newtown, Danbury, and New Milford.

An oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr Wachs is qualified to diagnose, manage, and treat a wide spectrum of diseases, traumatic injuries, and deformities involving the mouth, teeth, and gums, as well as the jaws and facial structures. He specializes in all surgical procedures from third molar (wisdom teeth) removal to dental implants and reconstructive surgery.

Dr Wachs received his bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering from the University of California at San Diego and his doctorate in dentistry degree from New York University College of Dentistry. At NYU he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honors fraternity. One of many awards and recognitions that Dr Wachs received was the prestigious American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award.

After dental school, Dr Wachs specialized in oral and maxillofacial surgery as a resident at Bellevue Hospital Center/New York University Medical Center. He stays abreast of the newest oral surgical and dental developments by participating in national and local conferences and meetings.

 He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

During his oral surgical training, Dr Wachs met his wife, Jennifer. They have two boys, Zachary and Jacob.
