Newtown United Methodist Church has the solution for local residents hanging on to items they no longer know what to do with.

The church is planning a tag sale on Saturday, September 4, from 9 am to 3 pm. The event is timed to coincide with The Great Pootatuck Duck Race, which will be happening that day in Sandy Hook Center.

The sale will be presented in front of Wesley Learning Center at 92 Church Hill Road, adjacent to the church building.

Limited spaces are available at a cost of $35 per table, and reservations are due by August 31.

To reserve a table, mail a check payable to NUMC, with “tag sale” noted on the memo line, to the church as soon as possible (92 Church Hill Road, Sandy Hook CT 06482), and include a note with your name and contact information.

In the event of rain on September 4, the sale will be canceled and all fees will be returned.
