Sandra Gill, 54, a longtime Sandy Hook resident, died at her home August 7 after a brief illness. She was born in Bridgeport, September 5, 1958, and was the daughter of Patricia (Davis) Bellavita of Florida and the late Ernest Bellavita.

Ms Gill was a longtime postal worker in the Southbury Branch of the US Postal Service.

In addition to her mother, her husband John T. Gill, Jr, and three sons, John T. Gill III, US Marine Corps Sergeant Dustin T. Gill, and Sean T. Gill, all of Sandy Hook, survive her. Her maternal grandmother Ann Davis and her brother Robert Bellavita, both of Florida, also survive Ms Gill.

In addition to her father, her brother Ernie Bellavita and her twin sister Victoria Bellavita predeceased her.

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Sunday, August 11, from 4 to 7 pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home Monday, August 12, at 11 am. Interment will follow at the Newtown Village Cemetery.
