Walker Industrial completed the regular season of the Women’s Slo-Pitch Softball League with an unblemished record of 10-0 and did it by banging out 15 hits in an 8-3 win over JP Maguire. Walker will enjoy a first-round bye in the upcoming league tournament.

In the win, Lisen Zaruba had a two-run triple and Lynn Kovack had a two-run homer to pace the offense. Jess Shivey and Sharon Vetrano banged out three hits apiece. Kathy Blewett and Rose DeSimone made outstanding plays in the field and Sue Liss made 11 putouts at first base.
