Prison Inmate Arrested
On Assault Charge
On the morning of July 30, state police served an arrest warrant at Danbury Superior Court against a former Garner Correctional Institution inmate in connection with a past unspecified violent incident at the high-security prison at 50 Nunnawauk Road.
State police said they arrested inmate Timothy Kuroski, 42, formerly of Waterbury, on a charge of assault on a public safety officer stemming from a February incident.
Kuroski was arraigned in court on the charge on July 30 and is scheduled to appear in court again on August 13.   Â
Kuroski, who currently is incarcerated at Northern Correctional Institution in Somers, is serving a nine-year prison sentence on a 2007 conviction for first-degree robbery. Kuroski also was convicted on a charge of risk of injury to a child.Â
