Hospital Implements New Cutting-Edge CT Scanner
NEW MILFORD â New Milford Hospital has completed the installation of its new state-of-the-art GE LightSpeed VCT (64-slice) CT scanner.
Equipped with ASIR low-dose technology, the new CT scanner offers patients dramatically improved image quality and less radiation exposure â specifically lowering radiation dose by as much as 40 percent.Â
Andrea Crowley, MD, chairman, Radiology Department, said, the addition of the GE LightSpeed VCT configured system complements and extends the range of quality diagnostic services that New Milford Hospital offers to northern Fairfield and Litchfield Counties, as well as nearby New York communities.
âIt provides us with vastly improved image quality and imaging speed, and enhances the overall diagnostic confidence we have in all our studies,â Dr Crowley said. âWe are thrilled to offer the most advanced high-definition radiation dose-reducing CT scanner available for patients in our community.â
