South Main Crash
Police report a two-vehicle accident on South Main Street about 8:20 am July 29.
Southbound motorist Robin Kinney, 52, of New Milford, who was driving a 2009 Hyundai SUV, stopped for traffic conditions and was struck from behind by southbound motorist Asha Cunningham, 25, of Danbury, who was driving a 2004 Chrysler sedan, police report.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued Cunningham a written warning for following too closely.
Truck/Sedan Collision
About 5:30 pm July 24, a two-vehicle accident happened at the intersection of Church Hill Road and Walnut Tree Hull Road, police report.
In that incident, motorist Steve Svanda, 19, of 7 Evergreen Road, who was driving a 2001 Honda sedan eastward on Church Hill Road, slowed, signaled, and then stopped in preparing to make a left turn onto Walnut Tree Hill Road, police said.
Motorist Devin Mulligan, 22, of 159 Toddy Hill Road, who was driving a 1999 Ford pickup truck eastward on Church Hill Road, then struck the rear end of the Honda, police report.
Newtown ambulance volunteers treated and released Svanda at the scene, police said. Mulligan was issued a written warning for following too closely, police said.
Warrant
Police report that on August 3, prisoner Victor Stendbergh, 22, of 7 Sugar Street was transported to Danbury Superior Court where they arrested him on a warrant, charging him with third-degree forgery and fifth-degree larceny.
Police said those charges stem from an August 25, 2009, incident on which they had received a complaint last September 2.
Stendbergh was arraigned in court on the charges on August 3. He is serving a one-year sentence at Bridgeport Correctional Center on a conviction for violation of probation.
