NEW YORK CITY â Roslyn Bakst Goldman, appraiser of fine art, Rochester, N.Y., was elected president of the Appraisers Association of America as of April 1, for a term of two years.
Goldman, a specialist in prints, has appraised fine art for 27 years. She has been a member of the association since 1986, was elected to the board in 2000, and then elected first vice president in 2004.
In 2005, she became a member of ArtTable, an organization for professional women in the visual arts. Goldman is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Rochester.
Joining Goldman, also for two-year terms, are new officers: First Vice President Beth G. Weingast, Beth G. Weingast Appraisals, New Rochelle, N.Y.; Second Vice President Elizabeth von Habsburg, Gurr Johns Masterson, New York City; Secretary Nancy Harrison, Fine Art Capital, LLC, New York City; Treasurer Jane C.H. Jacob, Jane C.H. Jacob Fine Art, Chicago; Parliamentarian Norman Hurst, Hurst Gallery, Cambridge, Mass.; and continuing in her role, Recording Secretary Barbara J. Fischman, B.J. Fischman Fine Art Appraiser, New York City.
Newly-elected to the board of directors for three-year terms are : R. Mark Bunda, Bunda Jewelry Appraisers & Auctioneers, New York City; Erica Hartman, Hartman & Company, Miami; Eric Hanks, M. Hanks Gallery, Santa Monica, Calif.; Elvin Montgomery, New York City; Kathy Rosenblatt, KAS Consulting Services, Inc, New York City; and Renee Vara, Vara Global Fine Art, LLC, New York City.
