In Women’s Slo-Pitch

Margie Golankiewicz was 4-for-4 with a triple, double and three RBI to lead Curtiss & Crandon to an 18-2 win over Newtown Exxon in Women’s Slo-Pitch Softball League action. Heather Morgan was 3-for-3 with three singles while Diane Alicea and Lisa Masella each went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple.

Ruth Rowe was 4-for-4 with three RBI as Curtiss & Crandon dropped a 9-7 decision to Beeline. Diane Alicea was 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI while Diane Lawrence and Lynn Baylis (triple) had two hits apiece.

In a 14-2 win over Davidson, Lisa Masella led Curtiss & Crandon with a single, double, two RBI and solid defensive play. Diane Alicea was 4-for-4 with a home run and two RBI while Marge Golankiewicz was 3-for-4 with three RBI. Missy Desrochers banged out two hits and drove in two runs.

And in a 15-4 win over Amica, Ruth Rowe powered Curtiss & Crandon with two singles, a double and two RBI.

Marge Golankiewicz singled, tripled and drove in three runs while Lynn Baylis collected three hits and Lisa Masella went 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBI.

Sandy Hook Wine & Liquor defeated Newtown Exxon, 6-4, as Steff Pinto went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Cathy Siwik singled and tripled while Ann Rushefski went 2-for-3 and scored twice. Tina Fiorella played great defense in left field and Lindsey Goodwick was the winning pitcher.

For Exxon, Cathy Ochs went 2-for-3 with a triple as Karen Alexander went 3-for-3 and also had a triple. Rachel Dargenio went 2-for-3 and scored twice.
