Heartfelt Thanks
Heartfelt Thanks
To the Editor:
On the evening of Tuesday, July 27, we were involved in a collision on Toddy Hill Road at approximately 6:45 pm that caused our vehicle to be broadsided by another vehicle coming in the opposite direction.
That collision caused our vehicle to spin around in the opposite direction and roll, which precariously landed our vehicle on the passenger side of the car with all the glass broken out.
This letter is being written to thank the many kind people in Newtown who immediately stopped at the scene to help us. There were two 12-year-old girls in the back seat who miraculously were not seriously injured. Thank you to the lady in the white tank top who called 911 and insisted that an ambulance be called to the scene. She also opened the back window of the vehicle and got the two girls out. Iâm sorry I didnât get your name, but know that you are in our prayers everyday.
I also remember Donny Bach and his family being there. Thank you Donny for your concern, it was greatly appreciated. And again thank you also to the other many kind and caring people who stopped. Also many thanks to the Newtown Ambulance and the fire companies that showed up.
This accident was caused because a young driver was traveling too fast on a wet road and lost control of his car. He was not experienced enough to deal with what his vehicle was doing which was âfish-tailingâ going up a hill and he just didnât know how to handle it. Hopefully he will be more cautious the next time heâs on the road.
Sincerely,
Sandi Orleman, Jan Masella, Annie and Rebecca
