Free Shakespeare Continues

BRIDGEPORT — Bridgeport Free Shakespeare (BFS) will continue its annual performances of Shakespearean plays at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo this weekend.

This year’s production is A Midsummer Night’s Dream featuring actors courtesy of Actor’s Equity Association.

Remaining performances are Wednesday through Sunday, August 4-8. All shows begin at 8 pm. Intern pre-shows begin at 7 pm, with members of the Bridgeport Free Shakespeare Teen Intern Program presenting its adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

The zoo opens for picnics at 6 pm, and admission is free. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome.
