Eight Charged With Trespassing
Following their investigation into a complaint of an early morning loud party being held August 4 at a Sawmill Road home, police charged eight youths there each with second degree criminal trespassing.
Police said they went to the home at about 12:20 am and found the eight youths at the residence of people who were vacationing out-of-state. The eight did not have the ownersâ permission to be at the home, police said.
Charged with second degree criminal trespassing were: John Collins, 17, of 18 Cobblerâs Mill Road; Brendan OâConnor, 17, of 11 Avalon Way; Robert Pattison, 16, of 90 Glen Road; Daniel Kearns, 16, of 11 Dogwood Terrace; Tara Gaston, 16, of 18 Main Street; Casey Frobey, 16, of 39 Bennetts Bridge Road, and Carly Curran, 16, of 71 Sugar Street.
Police also charged a 15-year-old girl with the same offense. State law shields the identities of people under 16 who are charged with crimes.
Police said the seven 16- and 17-year-olds were released into their parentsâ custody for August 18 appearances in Danbury Superior Court. The 15-year-old girl is scheduled to appear in Danbury Juvenile Court on August 16, according to police.
