Waldorf Open House Aug. 25

The Housatonic Valley Waldorf School Association will host an open house on Saturday, August 25, at 10 am at Housatonic Valley Waldorf School on 40 Dodgingtown Road (Route 302) in Newtown.

The event will offer an opportunity to discover the wholesome alternative a Waldorf education offers a child, preschool through grade eight. Parents can meet the teachers and experience the classroom and educational materials unique to Waldorf education.

The Waldorf approach to education is rooted in the belief that education should nurture a child’s whole being, balancing intellect, body, and spirit. The broad curriculum of Waldorf education fosters academic excellence, strong moral purpose, and artistic sensibility.
