Jeanne M. Pancotti, 72, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Bethel, died at Yale New Haven Hospital on August 1, following a brief illness.
She is the mother of Deborah Henry of Newtown and wife of the late Gino Pancotti.
She was born in Danbury, August 6, 1928, daughter of the late Courtland and Nora (Costello) Lawrence. She grew up in Danbury and was a graduate of Danbury High School, class of 1946.
Mrs Pancotti had worked for more than 20 years at the Union Trust Company, Bethel office, as a customer service representative; she retired approximately eight years ago. Following her retirement from the bank, she worked part time for Dr Michael Fein, DPM, in Bethel for three years. She moved to Florida five years ago.
She is a former member of St Mary Church in Bethel, the AARP, and had performed volunteer work in St Joseph Hospital in Port Charlotte.
Mrs Pancotti is survived by two other daughters, Joyce Jutton and Gina Sacrider, both of Bethel; a brother, William Lawrence or Rio Rico, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Ryan, Melyssa, Erin, Kristi, David, and Rachael; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Jeanne was predeceased by a son, Lawrence G. Pancotti.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St Mary Church, Bethel, on August 6. Burial took place in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury. The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, was in charge of arrangements. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Neurological Department at Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, Conn.
