Funky Butt Jazz Band Performance

SOUTHBURY — Pomperaug Woods’ annual outdoor concert series will begin on Tuesday, August 16, with a performance by The Funky Butt Jazz Band at the Gazebo behind Pomperaug Woods.

The public is invited to bring lawn chairs and Pomperaug Woods residents for a complimentary picnic dinner of hot dogs, sodas and chips at the gazebo at 5:30 pm, prior to the concert at 6:30. While admission is free, concerts will be dedicated to Southbury’s Food Bank and monetary and nonperishable food items will be accepted at the all concerts.

Also on this year’s schedule are shows on Tuesday, August 23, by The  Naugatuck Community Band, and Tuesday, August 30, the finale will be offered by Heritage Village resident Willie Nininger & Friends.

Please note in the event of rain on a concert night, performances will move indoors but the picnic dinners will be cancelled.
