John Balogh

John Balogh, 79, of Fairfield, beloved husband to Charlette Maticsak Balogh, died July 31 at St Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport.

In addition to his beloved wife Charlette of 54 years, he is survived by two daughters, Nora Murphy and her husband, Rick, of Newtown, Judy Comen and her husband, Allen, of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; four grandchildren, Conor Murphy and Lauren, Daniel, and Katie Comen; a brother and sisters in Hungary; and many beloved nieces and nephews in the United States and Hungary.

Mr Balogh was born and educated in Demecser, Hungary, where he played soccer for many years.

In 1956, Mr Balogh and his wife moved from Hungary to the United States where they resided in Fairfield. He was proud of the business he founded 25 years ago, Printed Circuit Design Service, Inc in Bridgeport.

He was a member of the Calvin United Church of Christ Church in Fairfield and belonged to the American Hungarian Pannonia Club. John loved his family and was proud of his heritage. He was an avid gardener and sports enthusiast, and enjoyed living in Fairfield, his home of 40 years.

Funeral services were held on August 3 in the Lesko-Polke Funeral Home in Fairfield Center, and at Calvin United Church of Christ, with Rev Dr Alexander Havadtoy officiating. Interment followed at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport.
