Devoted Father
Richard R. Ruesch, Jr, 46, a self-employed contractor of Woodbury and previously of Monroe, died on July 28, at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on December 6, 1959, he was a son of Mary Ferraro Ruesch of Oxford and the late Richard R. Ruesch, Sr.
In addition to his devoted mother, he leaves to cherish his memory three loving children, Richard III, Ronald and Jamie Ruesch, all of Woodbury; four sisters, Candice Davies of Newtown, Evelyn Mainiero and her husband, John, of Oxford, Karen Mucherino and her husband, John, of Monroe, and Noreen DiChaira of Cheshire; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Gloria Ruesch, of Prospect; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mr Ruesch lived in Monroe for 20 years, Southbury for ten years, and also in Sandy Hook, before settling in Woodbury. He was a member of Masuk High Schoolâs Class of 1977, and graduated from the Colonial School of Drafting and Design. He took great pride in designing and building many homes.
He had a great love of football, the outdoors, and enjoyed motorcycles, but his greatest love was his children. He touched many hearts and always made those around him laugh and smile. He was a devoted father, son, brother and uncle, and will be sadly missed by all.
Prayer services took place on August 1 at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton.
