Regina Manville

Golfer, Gardener, And Cook

Regina (Dumonski) Manville died at her home July 3. She was the widow of Charles E. Manville. Mrs Manville was born in Waterbury, the daughter of Vincent and Helen (Baginski) Dumonski.

She is survived by two sons, James B. Manville and his wife, Barbara, of Sandy Hook, and Gerald E. Manville and his wife, Beverly, of Naugatuck; a daughter, Nancy A. Mariano and her husband, Dominic, of Naugatuck; two brothers, Walter Dumonski of Plainfield, and Theodore Dumonski of Prospect; a sister, Frances Brassell of Seymour; three grandsons, Timothy Charles Mariano of Hong Kong, and William V. and David J. Manville of Sandy Hook; a great-granddaughter, Mia Ann Mariano; and a great-grandson, Jackson Thomas Mariano. A son, Thomas Manville, predeceased Mrs Manville.

Mrs Manville was a graduate of Naugatuck High School. She was a member of Holy Savior Polish National Church. She was also a member of the East Mountain Golf Association Ladies’ Golf League where she was twice Flight B Champion, and the Island Green Country Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. She was an avid golfer, and enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Services will be held Saturday, August 5, at 9:30 am, at Holy Savior Polish National Church, 118 Prospect Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the Firzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, Friday, August 4, from 5 to 8 pm. Burial will be at the family’s convenience.
