Museum Tours In Danbury

DANBURY — Danbury Museum and Historical Society will continue its summer tours schedule through August.

The museum’s main campus, which is located at 43 Main Street, will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 am to 4 pm. Tours offer a trip through the historic buildings on campus: the 1785 Rider House, the 1790 John Dodd Hat Shop, the Little Red Schoolhouse, and the Marian Anderson Studio.

Also open is a student exhibit chronicling the history of Danbury from Revolutionary times to present day.  This exhibit, located in Huntington Hall, was put together by eighth grade students from Rogers Park and Broadview Middle Schools, and is a fun and informative way to experience the history of Danbury.
