Man Reported Missing From Homesteads Found

For about 90 minutes Thursday morning, starting at about 9 am, police searched for a male resident who was reported to be missing from The Homesteads at Newtown, a 100-unit assisted living apartment building at 166 Mt Pleasant Road.

At about 10:40 am, police said the 74-year-old man had been located, adding that they were investigating his disappearance from the facility.

Radio scanner reports initially indicated that the man had wandered away on foot from the apartment building and was heading toward Danbury.
