Garner Inmate Arrested in Prison Incident

State police report that Stephen Freeman, 33, an inmate at Garner Correctional Institution, made some threatening comments to a correction officer at the high-security prison at 50 Nunnawauk Road on the morning of July 25. The incident did not involve physical violence, according to state police.

After investigating, state police charged Freeman with threatening, breach of peace, and refusal to be fingerprinted. Freeman was scheduled for an arraignment the following day at Danbury Superior Court.
