Ines Barletta

Ines Barletta, 87, of Eastchester, N.Y., died July 26, with her family by her side. She was born March 7, 1925, in Bronxville, N.Y., to Louise and Joseph Zorzo.

Her children Janet, and husband Bill Vollmer, of Sandy Hook, George, and wife Tilly, and Karen, and husband, John Ratto of Eastchester; two sisters, Lucille Zorzo and Paula Ford, and her husband Paul; and her two adored grandsons, Scott and Eric, who always brought a twinkle to her eyes, survive Mrs Barletta, as do two nephews. Her husband, George Barletta, Sr, predeceased Mrs Barletta.

She touched many lives. Mrs Barletta was a great cook and baker, and was known for her cheesecake recipe. She loved to entertain and truly lived her life for her family.

She loved her trips to Atlantic City with her best friend, the late Judy DePippo. The family has no doubts that she and Judy are yanking the slots in Heaven right now, or catching up with her lifelong friend, the late Margery DeSantolo. While her family knows she is in a better place, they feel the void she has left behind. “We love you, Mom, and will never forget you. May you rest in peace now, until we meet again.”

A Mass of Christian Burial took place July 30. Interment was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle, N.Y.

Memorial donations may be made to Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps, PO Box 482, Scarsdale NY 10583.
