What is your business background? I have been a massage therapist, personal trainer, and soccer coach for nearly 20 years, having an immense passion for human performance and helping others. I’ve been working as a sole business owner for many years, which includes working with professional athletes, lymphatic drainage clients, and people with everyday aches and pains. As my business quickly expanded, I realized that I needed to hire and train like-minded service providers. I opened up Therapeutic Massage & Wellness’ (TMW) original location at 40 Lake Avenue Extension, Danbury, Conn., about eight years ago, bringing on other massage therapists, skin care specialists, and wellness providers to better serve the local area.

What is your business’ focus? The focus of my business is to bring quality care with a personal touch. We have a wide range of services for all types of individuals. Our services include: massages, body scrubs, facials, cosmetic services, wellness services, recovery services that include infrared saunas, float therapy, red light therapy, compression therapy, and cryotherapy, as well as private events for special occasions. We aspire to help be a part of peoples’ health and wellness, an outlet for injuries, human performance, and a place to alleviate stress, aches, and pains.

What is something important to you that readers know about your business? Our primary goal is to create a fully customized experience for every individual. TMW wants to make everyone feel special, and we make it a standard to remember their likes and dislikes and consistently bring quality care with a personal touch.

Do you have any upcoming promotions, events, or seasonal specials? We have monthly specials and memberships as well as student discounts that we will be implementing to help local schools and their sports teams. Although we have no affiliation with Avance Spa (previous owners), I will be honoring their gift certificates on selective services in efforts to give back to the community.

Also, we will have our soft opening August 16, with an official grand opening to come afterwards.

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30 am to 8 pm; Friday from 9:30 am to 6 pm; Saturday from 9 am to 7 pm; and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
