The Need For Moral Leadership

To the Editor:

I cannot but agree with all the responses to BeeLines of July 21 in which you ask “If you could run for the office of President of the United States, what would be the top issue on your campaign platform and why?”

Surmounting all these thoughtful responses is the absolute necessity to return to decency, honesty, honor, respect, dignity, integrity and just plain old-fashioned morals. These characteristics have been sadly absent for the last eight years. Without a moral leader there cannot be a moral nation, and we’ll skink further into the degradation that is the hallmark of the current administration.
