Beloved Mother And Grandmother

Josephine Chessa Rizzardi, 95, of Fairfield died July 25. Born in Johnstown, Penn., on October 7, 1913, she was a daughter of Francesco and Giovanna Barra Chessa. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank J. Rizzardi.

Four children, including David J. Rizzardi of Newtown, survive Mrs Rizzardi, as does a sister, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A retired dressmaker, she was a member of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held July 28. Interment was in St Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
