Cherished Wife, Mother, And Grandmother

Joan M. Hagen Capozziello, 72, of Fairfield died July 27. Mrs Capozziello was born in Bridgeport to Harvey and Margaret Hagen, and was a Fairfield resident most of her life.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 54 years, Mathew L. Capozziello; and five dearly loved children, including Mathew A. (Smitty) Capozziello, Jr, and Pamela L. Capozziello of Newtown; a brother; a sister; five cherished grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and brother and sisters-in-law.

She was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School and was a former waitress at New Colony Diner, Monroe.

Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, July 30, from 4 to 8 pm, at the funeral home. Funeral services were scheduled for Friday, July 31, at 9:15 am, in Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue in Bridgeport, and at 10 am in Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road in Fairfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
