Hooray For Bipartisanship

To the Editor:

The recent Democratic Caucus voted to support the reelection of all the members of the Board of Finance — James Gaston Sr, Joseph W. Kearney, John W. Kortze, Michael E. Portnoy, Martin Gersten, and Harrison A. Waterbury.

The Democrats respect the expertise and integrity of the Board of Finance and feel they have done and will continue to do what is right for the citizens of Newtown.

The Democrats recognize that all members of the Board of Finance have always put Newtown “first.” They have put politics aside in making responsible decisions and have not used or abused their elected positions for any “political” agenda.
