Car Show In Sherman

SHERMAN — The Sherman fourth grade class of 2009-10 will car and motorcycle show that was scheduled for July 26 has been rescheduled for its rain date of Sunday, August 23, at Volunteer Park in Sherman.

The show will run from 1 to 6 pm. Car owners are asked to be at the field by 1, and spectators will be allowed on the grounds beginning at 2.

Cars and motorcycles of all makes and models from antique roadsters to top fuel dragsters are welcome.

Cost is $10 per show car which includes a chance on one of the door prizes from local merchants. Spectator admission will be $5 per car. 

Proceeds will help defray the cost of the class trip to Washington, D.C., in the spring.

Refreshments will be available for purchase and live music will be performed by The Hey Baby Band.
