10-Year-Old Bombers Second 

Newtown Bombers 22, BethWood 3: The Bombers baseball team ended the regular season with a bang and finished 7-2 to capture second place in the 10-year-old B League and 12-5 overall. The Bombers pounded out 14 hits in the regular-season ending victory over BethWood this week. Scott McLean, Dylan Tyrrell, Peter Winans, and Spencer Johnson turned in multi-hit performances with Tyrrell, McLean and Brian Gallagher stroking doubles. Johnson pitched two scoreless innings, striking out four batters while not allowing any hits and Shawn Fulton pitched a scoreless and hitless inning as well. Nick Rohrbacher, Matt Campbell and Fulton caught fly balls.
