To the Editor:

As the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission, under the name of HealingNewtown, leaves the Congregational Church, we would like to thank the church and its staff for its welcoming and helpful atmosphere.

Even as the name HealingNewtown fades, the work of the Cultural Commission goes on.

Standing by this year’s theme, A Ridiculous Abundance of Enriching Activities Throughout September All Around Town, the 2014 Newtown Arts Festival will present cultural events September 5 through September 28. The highlight of the festival will be The Rooster Ball, September 12, and the ensuing two days of the Arts Festival on the grounds of Fairfield hills September 13-14.
