The Newtown Babe Ruth 15-year-old All Star team couldn’t let the Solingen Alligators of Germany leave the United States without one more game.

The Alligators, who participated last week in the German-American Baseball Series organized by Danbury Youth Baseball, visited Newtown High School on Tuesday afternoon for one more game before leaving on Wednesday.

“We had so much fun (in the series),” said manager Bob Mitchell, “we invited them to play here at Newtown High School. We had them set up to go swimming at Treadwell, but figured we’d get filthy dirty first and then head over to Treadwell.”
