Mr And Mrs George K. Kobrock

Stacey Gay Knowles and George Kevin Kobrock were married on June 2 at Heritage Inn in Southbury with the Rev Steve Gordon officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Stan Szarek of Sandy Hook.

The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs Bill Kobrock of Valrico, Fla.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white spaghetti strap A-line dress with Georgette skirt and detachable train of chaffon and a waistline waterfall style veil. She carried a bouquet of white, pale pink, and peach hand tied roses.

Her maid of honor was her sister, Megan Szarek of Willington. Her sister, Danah Padula of Southbury, was matron of honor.

They wore periwinkle two piece dresses, with sleeveless tuxedo top and iridescent taffeta skirt. They carried pale pink and pale peach roses in a hand-tied bouquet.

The best man was Nick Demeo of New Rochelle, N.Y.

The ushers were Chris Padula of Southbury and the groom’s brothers, Bill Kobrock, Jr, of Old Saybrook and Wayne Kobrock.

Haley Morgan of Farmington and Amy Martin were flower girls, and Scot Martin of Sandy Hook was ring bearer.

The bride graduated from Newtown High School in 1987. She is employed as a nanny in Farmington.

The groom is director of construction services for Noresco in Bridgeport.

The reception was held in the Garden Room of the Heritage Inn.

Following a trip to Anguilla in the West Indies, the couple resides in Newtown.
