Mitchell Alan Falconer, 58, of Southbury, formerly of Newtown, died unexpectedly July 20. He was born in St Paul, Minn., February 1, 1957, and was a son of the late Hazel (Ramberg) and Ward Falconer.

Mr Falconer moved to Newtown with his family in 1972, and was a graduate of Newtown High School Class of 1975.

Following high school he was a machinist for 17 years at DuPont in Newtown, before he retired.

He was a social member of VFW Post 308, and an avid sports fan, especially of Minnesota teams.

His girlfriend, Cathy Bagmeyer of Southbury; two brothers, Barry Falconer of Carmel, N.Y., and Eric Falconer, and his wife Wanda, of Oxford; and one niece survive Mr Falconer.

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Thursday, July 30, from 5 to 8 pm. A graveside service will take place Friday, July 31, at 10 am, at the Newtown Village Cemetery on Elm Drive.
