Jason M. Brower, 24, of Norwalk, died July 25 at Yale New Haven Hospital, after a long illness, with his family at his side. He was born April 30, 1990, son of Gina Bernini Brower and Michael Brower.

A 2008 graduate of Newtown High School, he was a courageous young man who loved being a volunteer firefighter for the Botsford Fire Company in Newtown. Jason also loved NASCAR and country music. He had a big heart and was loved by many.

In addition to his parents, a sister, Shannon Brower; his maternal grandparents Carol Bernini of Norwalk and Donald Bernini of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins survive him. Jason is predeceased by his maternal step-grandfather, Charles Lopriore; his paternal grandmother, Jeannie Brower; and his brother, Michael Wisniewski.

Calling hours will take place Wednesday, July 30, from 5 to 8 pm, at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will take place Friday, August 1, at noon, in Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk.
