The Missing Sweatshirt
The Missing Sweatshirt
To the Editor:
Iâm writing this letter in hope of tracking down my little boyâs new Middle Gate sweatshirt, which was last seen at Edmond Town Hall on Friday, July 21. My family and I sat in the balcony for Over the Hedge, and my husband put the red sweatshirt on an empty seat next to my 6-year-old.
After the film started a woman arrived and sat next to that seat. It was very dark and I didnât realize the clothing on the seat was my sonâs. Thinking it was her sweater, I asked her if she could hold it because my husband, who had gone to get popcorn, was returning to sit there. She put it in her lap and I said thank you.
When the movie ended though, we discovered the sweatshirt was missing. My husband told me it had been on his seat.
Iâm thinking perhaps the woman didnât realize the sweatshirt was ours. My son would really love to have it back so Iâm hoping she reads this and can leave it at the Edmond Town Hall Lost & Found. The number there is 270-4285.
By the way, if you have not seen Over the Hedge yet, itâs worth the trip. The movie is very cute and funny, even for adults. Thank you Edmond Town Hall for being one of Newtownâs little treasures.
Sincerely,
Linda Tuccio-Koonz
