Artists Invited To âConnecticut Visionâ Exhibit
WATERBURY â The Mattatuck Museum Arts and History Center will host its tenth âConnecticut Vision Juried Exhibitâ this fall, September 30 through November 5.
Any artist who lives or works in Connecticut is invited to submit one to two examples of their work, in any medium, for possible inclusion in this exhibit. This yearâs jurors are artists Charles Cajori and Barbara Grossman of Watertown.
Mr Cajori has exhibited extensively throughout the country and is in many public collections, including the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Hirshhorn Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Ms Grossman studied at the Yale School of Music and Art in Norfolk, earned her BFA from Cooper Union, and then continued her studies at Acadamie dur Kunst, Munich, Germany.
She has had many solo exhibits, and has received the Connecticut Commission on the Arts fellowship grant, plus awards from the National Academy of Design.
Artists will deliver their art on Sunday, September 10, or Monday, September. Entry fees are $25 for the first piece, and $20 for the second or subsequent piece.
The judges will select works for the exhibition, and winners will be announced at an opening on Saturday, September 30, from 6 to 8 pm.
