Absentee Ballots Available For Democratic Primary
Absentee Ballots Available For Democratic Primary
Town Clerk Cindy Simon advises Newtown voters that absentee ballots are now available for the Democratic Primary to be held in Newtown on August 8. Any qualified registered Democratic voter may vote absentee if unable to vote in person due to: illness or physical disability; absence from town during voting hours; religious beliefs that forbid secular activity; active US military service; service as an election official at a polling place other than his/her own polling place.
Applications for absentee ballots are available at the town clerkâs office and may be obtained in person at the office or by calling the town clerkâs office. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Special hours for absentee voting will be held on Saturday, August 5, from 9 am to noon, at the town clerkâs office at 45 Main Street in Edmond Town Hall.
Anyone with questions regarding absentee ballots can contact the town clerkâs office at 270-4210.
