Michael "Mick" O'Sullivan, 76, of Bethel died peacefully on July 22, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Pauline and the proud father of six children. His wife Pauline of 52 years; his children and spouses Michael and Debbie O'Sullivan, Diana and Tom Daly, David and Sue O'Sullivan, all of Newtown; Jennifer and James Litwin of Rye, N.Y.; and Peter and  Paul O'Sullivan, both of Bethel; and 11 grandchildren survive him. Additionally, Mr O'Sullivan is survived by his sisters Carmel and Eileen, his brothers Leo, Aidan, and Tony, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Anita and his brother John.

He grew up in Ireland and moved to England at the age of 17 where he met his future wife, Pauline. They were married on St Patrick's Day in 1964 and moved to the United States in 1965. They initially lived in Stratford before eventually settling in Bethel, in 1968, where they raised their family.

Mr O'Sullivan and his twin brother Leo were self-taught master builders and were longtime fixtures working construction in the Danbury area. They eventually started L&M Construction and made their careers owning several rental properties.

He spent countless hours helping his children with their houses and found great joy in the simple pleasures in life. Mr O'Sullivan had a wonderful sense of humor and an optimistic outlook on life. He was a caring, gentle, patient, and quiet man who was loved by everyone who was fortunate enough to meet him. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as an incredibly hard worker who was always the first to help anyone in need of assistance.
