Baseball Players Named To All State Tourney Team

Newtown baseball players Adam Beckett, Harry Eppers, and Colby Olson were named to the All State 12U Cal Ripken Tournament Team.

Beckett posted a .522 average in districts and states with 3 home runs and 16 RBI. He also had a 2-0 record in the states with a 1.69 ERA and 10 strikeouts.

Eppers batted .450 in the states and districts with a .625 on base percentage. He scored 9 runs in  states.

Olson, the top pitcher for Newtown, posted 4 wins and 18 strikeouts in 16 innings with a 2.25 ERA. He batted .458 with a home run and 11 runs scored during district and states play.
