Teenage and preteen fishermen baited their hooks, cast their lines, and reeled in perch, bass, sunnies, and trout during Masonicare's Annual Fishing Derby & Family Fun Day at the facility's Keating Pond, on July 23.

Prizes were awarded for the first fish caught, most fish, and biggest fish.

Noah Dumont pulled in the first fish of the day - a 10-inch sunny; Evan Nikolis had the most fish, reeling in 13; and Abigail Gold with a 17-inch bass, won the award for the biggest fish.

The event was coordinated by the Masonicare assisted living facility Director of Dining Services Craig Dumont and Director of Facilities Rob Ulrich. Morrison Community Living was the food service company that provided hotdogs, hamburgers, and salads for a barbeque lunch, served by chef Dale DeCarli.

Residents of Masonicare got a chance to see their grandchildren and great-grandchildren enjoy time at the pond during this catch and release event.
