Lesley A. Sharpe, 75, of Newtown died on July 24 in Masonicare at Newtown, after a long illness. Mrs Sharpe was the beloved wife of Robert J. Sharpe. She was born in Bridgeport, on October 9, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Vincent Geoghegan.www.honanfh.com.

Mrs Sharpe grew up in Fairfield and attended schools there. She was also a graduate of the University of Connecticut. She was a longtime laboratory technician at Stamford Hospital until her retirement. A resident of Newtown for 50 years, she was a Communicant at St Rose of Lima Church and was a member of the Newtown Senior Center.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Christopher R. Sharpe, of San Jose, Calif., and a brother, Thomas Geoghegan of California.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, on Friday, July 29, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Newtown.
