Mary Lazzari

Mary Lazzari, 83, wife of the late Angelo Lazzari of Nunnawauk Meadows, Newtown, died unexpectedly July 23 in Danbury Hospital.

She was born in Queens, N.Y., August 8, 1916, daughter of the late Henry and Mariana (Lupo) Tortora. For many years Mrs Lazzari was the proprietor of a delicatessen in Queens. She had been a resident of Newtown since 1982. She was active in the Nunnawauk Senior Center.

She is survived by one daughter, Rita MacMillan of Newtown; two grandchildren, Gordon MacMillan of Manchester and Susan Williams of Litchfield; and four great-grandchildren.

A private funeral service was held July 27 at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery.
