Beer Tasting Fundraiser To Benefit Sandy Ground Project
STRATFORD — A beer tasting at Two Roads Brewery, 1700 Stratford Avenue, on Sunday, August 4, from 1 to 5 pm, will support The Sandy Ground Where Angels Play project.
Cost is $25 per person.
Coordinated by The New Jersey State Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association Foundation, Inc. and inspired by the events of 12/14, the project’s mission is to create 26 living memorials to all children who have been victims of violence. The project is also an effort to restore the storm-ravaged East Coast following last summer’s Hurricane Sandy. Each playground is being built and then dedicated in the name of a victim of 12/14. The 26 families of the Sandy Hook School victims have signed on in support of The Sandy Ground Project.
As of July 25, the playgrounds honoring Rachel D’Avino (located in Asbury Park, N.J.), Dylan Hockley (in Westport), Catherine Hubbard (Ansonia), Anne Marie Murphy (Sea Bright, N.J.), Jack Pinto (Union Beach, N.J.) and Victoria Soto (Stratford) have been completed.
