Police Investigate Sexual Assault

Police are investigating a complaint of a sexual assault, which allegedly occurred at Ashlar of Newtown at 139 Toddy Hill Road on July 20. Police said they learned of the incident on the night of July 21.

On July 22, state police and town police collected physical evidence at the scene.

An adult female Ashlar employee alleges that an adult male Ashlar employee sexually assaulted her, police said. In such cases, collected evidence may be used to supplement witnesses’ testimony.

Police said the case remains under investigation.
