Pilgrim Image At St Rose
The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be on display at St Rose of Lima Church on Church Hill Road on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27.
The image, a replica of the image left on the cloak of St Juan Diego in what is now Mexico City in 1531, will be on display on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm in the parish hall. The public is invited.
After the 8 am Mass, the Rosary group will lead a praying of the rosary. At 11:45 am the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary will be led by the Pro-Life & Family Committee. Committee member Queta Donovan will give a talk about the image that appeared on St Juan Diegoâs cloak after he was visited by Mary, the mother of Jesus.
The image is a photograph made from a negative provided by the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA) after a recent analysis, Mrs Donovan said.
The rosary will be led by the Knights of Columbus and the Men of St Rose on Saturday after the 5:30 pm Mass.
On Sunday, parishioners are invited to bring a rose to Mass. After the noon Mass, the rosary will be led by the youth groups.
