MIDDLETOWN – Lindsey Yingling, 10, of Newtown was first in the 100-meter breaststroke, second in the 50-meter backstroke and third in the 100-meter freestyle at the Connecticut Long Course Regional Championships at Wesleyan University this past weekend. All of her times qualified her to swim the events in the Connecticut State Championships on July 24-27. She previously qualified in the 50- and 100-meter butterflies, the 50-meter breaststroke, and the 200-meter individual medley.

“Lindsey is extremely coachable,” said her coach, Al Dodson. “Her concentration is really beginning to pay off and she should have another great meet next weekend.”
