Never Swim Alone is an absurd, hilarious yet haunting play about male relationships and rivalry. A 13-round sequence of scenarios is played out between two lifelong male friends and refereed by a young woman who holds the key to a dark secret of their past. Like a boxing match, the two men bloody each other verbally while the referee takes them closer and closer to confronting a horrible event that has haunted them throughout their adult lives.

Two men age 30 or older and one woman age 21 or older are needed. The role of the woman requires the actor to be comfortable working in a bathing suit. The director is long-time TheatreWorks veteran Richard Pettibone.

Auditions will be Monday and Tuesday, August 6 and 7, from 7 to 9 pm.

Rehearsals are scheduled to begin in late August and the show will run weekends, September 21 through October 13. Please note that actors and directors at TheatreWorks are volunteers and therefore no pay is given.
